Bread and Yoga
about

Maybe I’m being nostalgic and having a hard time letting go of the description bellow, but for those who have been to our original space it’s a wonderful reminder of the special place it was. Another kind of sanctuary in our neighborhood.

Now we hold classes in a true sanctuary! We are very grateful to Holy Trinity Church for welcoming us into their lovely space as our temporary home. We will continue to offer a variety of classes and events that focus on the health of individuals and building a mindful community.

Thanks to all of you for your love and support through this time of transition and rebirth.

Nestled in the uppermost part of Manhattan, Bread and Yoga is a beautiful and unique space that not only features classes in yoga (Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar) and Pilates, but also has an eclectic mix of programs –from the Off the Map holiday market, Birth Stories Fair and Luncheon, Adult drawing classes, to workshops on various topics like Homeopathy or money management.

Our goal is to bring families and the whole community together to share… share thoughts, inspiration, enthusiasm … to “break bread” together.

It is our strong belief that a focus on health, family/friends, and mindfulness about how we live and relate to others are essential to building a strong and active community.

Yoga/Pilates

Bread & Yoga’s instructors are some of NYC finest teachers and are all residents of Upper Manhattan, adding to that feeling of community. Starting any practice for the first time can be quite intimidating. At Bread and Yoga you will feel supported and nurtured in every class. Most classes are open level so everyone is welcome. There are rigorous classes for those in search of a more advanced practice, but all open level classes have a differentiated approach to instruction, always making it accessible, interesting and personally challenging.
