We offer a variety of styles of yoga and pilates:

PRENATAL YOGA- A woman’s body goes through a lot of changes during pregnancy. This class will help your body adjust to those changes as well as prepare for labor by maintaining flexibility in the muscles and building strength to ensure an easier labor and post-partum recovery. 1 hour 30 minutes.

ANUSARA INSPIRED- Anusara Yoga is one of the most spiritually inspiring, therapeutically effective and physically transformative styles of hatha yoga. Amy’s Anusara-Inspired classes gracefully blend detailed alignment and creative sequencing, with practical, heart-oriented themes. These elements, skillfully and seamlessly woven into the fabric of each class, allow students direct access to their bodies, minds, and hearts for a deeply integrative, healing experience. The Anusara method is designed to serve students at ANY level of experience or ability.

RESTORATIVE YOGA- Rejuvenating and supported poses that restore the nervous system and dismantle chronic tension. This class is a perfect way to end your week and get your body and mind ready for a lovely weekend.

IYENGAR YOGA- Iyengar Yoga is HATHA Yoga in the method of Living Yoga Master, B.K.S. Iyengar. This method focuses on precise alignment and the use of modifications in asanas (poses) and the skillful use of props (belts, blocks, blankets, chairs). This step-by-step, systematized method allows the classical asana (and thus it’s benefits) to become accesable to ALL regardless of flexibility, fitness level, age, or body type. Working from the outside in the mind can become quiet and the student can expereince what B.K.S. Iyengar describes as “Meditation in Action.” This is also a great class if you are a brand new beginner.

VINYASA YOGA- Vinyasa, meaning ‘flow’, merges movement with the breath. Many Vinyasa classes focus on breathing and seek to move students through a sequence of postures as the breath flows in and out. Whether the class is fast or slow, includes chanting, or is very alignment-oriented will depend on the individual teacher. Classes will vary in their range of difficulty and teachers will offer variations for different levels. Beginners are welcome in all open level classes.

PILATES MAT-  Pilates is a body conditioning routine that helps improve core control, coordination, balance, and posture through body awareness. Emphasis is on precise alignment, breathing and efficient sequencing of movement. The goal is to use effective movement strategies to build long, lean muscles and increase flexibility and coordination. There are countless different movement phrases, which are performed seated, standing, on all fours, or lying on your back, side, or front.
